Enrollment & tuition
We do rolling admission across all four age groups. Tuition varies by age and schedule — we'll share the full breakdown during your tour, or email you our e-brochure on request.

The details we get asked about most — from ratios and licensing to hours and drop-off.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM — early enough for the pre-Beltway commute. We're closed on major holidays and a small number of professional development days each year.
Are you licensed?
Yes. One World Preschool is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education. Our license number is #91183. You can view our public inspection records anytime at checkccmd.org.
What are your teacher-to-child ratios?
We meet Maryland's licensing standards for every classroom — some of the strictest in the country. In the infant room, that means one teacher for every three babies. Exact ratios by age group are shared on your tour so you can compare directly with other centers.
Do you use screens in the classroom?
No iPads, no TV, no phones for children under age 2 — and minimal, intentional use for older children. The day is filled with real conversation, play, and exploration instead.
What's your infant safe-sleep policy?
Back-to-sleep, individual cribs, documented sleep checks throughout each nap, and sleep-sack only — all in line with AAP and MSDE guidance.
How do I get updates about my child's day?
We use Brightwheel to send daily updates — snacks, naps, mood, a developmental highlight, and a photo. You can message your child's teacher directly through the app any time.
Do you serve snacks?
Yes. We provide balanced snacks throughout the day for children ages 2 and up. Families of younger children send meals and snacks from home.
Do you close for weather?
We stay open through minor closures so your workday doesn't get upended. For major storms, we follow Montgomery County Public Schools closures and send Brightwheel updates as early as possible.
How far in advance should I book a tour?
Anytime is a great time to visit. We love meeting families early in their search. Come tour whenever you're curious, and we'll help you figure out timing and next steps together on your visit. Book online or call to speak with an Enrollment Specialist who can help you schedule a campus tour.
Is free Pre-K available?
Yes. We're a Maryland Pre-K Expansion Grant site for the 2026–27 school year. Eligible families (Tier I) can receive 6.5 hours a day of free Pre-K programming. Our team will cover this on your tour.
